KOVAR KOVAR is a Virginia State Council of the Knights of Columbus charity designed to help those citizens in our community with intellectual disabilities.  The donations are given to organizations that assist these citizens regardless of race, creed, color, or religious preference.  Members of the Knights of Columbus and their families team up with local businesses to accept donations and distribute free Tootsie Rolls at locations throughout Virginia every year for this worthy cause.  The dates for the 2011 drive have not yet been set but in early 2011, a schedule will be posted here. Ascension Council has collected over $95,800 in its 24 years of supporting KOVAR.
