Virginia Knights: Living the
FAITH, the LOVE, and the DREAM
On behalf
of Knights of Columbus, Ascension Council #9285, welcome to our web
site. We are a dedicated group of Catholic gentlemen who work in support
of our Pastor, Father Michael Bazan, and all of the parishioners of Sacred
Heart. Our council was established at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in
1986 and we recently celebrated our 25th Anniversary as a
Knights of Columbus Council.
Ascension
Council 2011-2012 Fraternal Goals are listed below:
- Increase
family type events for parish
- Get
younger fathers/families involved in Parish—focus on family first
- Continue
to show the presence of Knights in the Parish
- Increase
interaction between Knights, Scouts, and Youth Groups
- Keep
engaged with the Parish Widows
- Increase
interaction between Father Richardson SMA Assembly and John Paul I Council
- Increase
participation rates from members who have been less active
Our Brother
Knights are active in every parish ministry and in our local community and
we would love to have you join our family. If you are a practical
Catholic gentleman in good standing with the Church and over the age of 18,
please contact myself or one of my Brother Knights and we will be happy to
speak with you about membership. We hold business meetings the second
Thursday of every month and social meetings the fourth Thursday of every
month.
We hope you
